Hop into it: Ever wondered what kangaroos eat? Or where they sleep? Ecoplan Australia is hosting an information night on the ecology of kangaroos. Speaker Bryan Walters will talk about wildlife population management, protected species management, habitat rehabilitation and the importance of kangaroo ecology. Lend a helping hand: Thinking about volunteering but don’t know how to go about it? Eastern Volunteers will host an information session exploring confidentiality, duty of care, rights and responsibilities and how to become a volunteer. Strength to strength: Get rid of the reminders of Christmas excess by signing up for strength training. Salad days: To celebrate summer, Stonehouse Gallery is exhibiting a collection of salad bowls. But they’re not just any old salad bowls — the ceramic and glass bowls being showcased were all made by Stonehouse artists, and they’re all for sale.
