YARRA Valley Water has encouraged residents to save water during summer despite the relaxed restrictions.
Stage 1 restrictions have been in effect since December, but YVW managing director Tony Kelly said people should continue to save water.
He said one of the easiest ways to do this was to garden smarter, including checking weather forecasts before watering and moving pot plants into shaded areas during hot weather.
